Just when it seemed as though the Las Vegas Raiders were headed toward a Davante Adams reunion with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, news broke that wide receiver is about to join him on his move back east:

The New York Jets. The Jets are getting a conditional third-round draft pick for him — one that could become as high as a second-rounder based upon Adams’ performance. While nursing a hamstring injury, Adams has been primary player with extensive history of performance excellence for Rodgers. This gives the Jets reason for hope together once more.

Adams is in the third year of a five-year, $140 million contract he signed with the Raiders. The Jets absorb his entire contract, so they’re on the hook for roughly $11.5M this season Adams is scheduled to earn a non-guaranteed $36.25 million each of the final two years of his deal (2025 and 2026), which will likely need some tweaks, as well
